  1. Great collection :)

btw, what happened to that UHU pen? 2nd from right in the first picture, missing the nib?

  2. These are beautiful pens! I'd heard that Uhu made some fountain pens, but this is the first time I've ever seen any. What a shame that they're not more widely known.

  3. Thanks both for your interest and comments. UHUs must be one of the best kept secrets in pendom!

The pen strangeknight refers to with the very strange tip is known as a kugeltinter, which is a ballpoint with a curved feed. There is no nib!

  4. That ballpoint is fascinating. When did they make those? I've never seen one with a curved feed.

  5. If you click to enlarge the photo you will see the ballpoint tip better. The kugeltinter is from the 1940s/50s.

  6. Nice collection indeed! I got one UHU that matches the third from the right on the upper photo. Beautiful pen, wonderful nib. And I got a question: Do you know how to disassemble the "nib" of q Kugeltinter with the straight feed? I got one from the bay and want to clean it. Thanks for your blog and its many photos. Regards from Germany!
